Remote Corporate Counsel

As a Remote Corporate Counsel for our client, you will provide comprehensive legal support to their business operations. This fully remote position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work from any location. Your extensive experience in corporate law, contract negotiation, compliance, and risk management will be invaluable as you advise on legal matters, draft and review contracts, and ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations. Your role will require exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to provide clear, pragmatic legal advice.

Key responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, service agreements, and partnership agreements.
• Provide legal advice and guidance on corporate governance matters, regulatory compliance, and business strategy.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues.
• Manage and resolve legal disputes and litigation, if necessary.
• Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Advise on intellectual property matters, including trademark and copyright protection.
• Assist with corporate transactional work, such as mergers, acquisitions, and financing.
• Collaborate with internal teams across various departments to address legal needs.
• Stay abreast of changes in relevant laws and regulations.
• Manage external counsel relationships when necessary.

Qualifications required:

• Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in India.
• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing corporate law, either in-house or at a reputable law firm.
• Strong understanding of Indian corporate law, contract law, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and drafting abilities.
• Experience with remote work tools and practices is a plus.
