Job Description

Our client, a dynamic real estate investment firm, is seeking a sharp and analytical Real Estate Investment Analyst to join their fully remote team. This role is pivotal in identifying, evaluating, and executing profitable real estate investment opportunities across various markets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong financial acumen, a deep understanding of real estate market dynamics, and exceptional analytical and modeling skills. You will be responsible for conducting thorough due diligence, financial modeling, market research, and presenting investment recommendations to senior management. This position requires a proactive approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment.

Responsibilities

Identify and source potential real estate investment opportunities, including commercial, residential, and industrial properties. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modeling for potential acquisitions, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, IRR calculations, and sensitivity analysis. Perform in-depth market research to assess property values, rental rates, absorption trends, and competitive landscapes. Underwrite new deals and prepare detailed investment memorandums for approval. Conduct thorough due diligence, including physical inspections, legal reviews, and environmental assessments. Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, developers, lenders, and other industry professionals. Monitor the performance of existing investments and prepare regular performance reports. Assist in the asset management of the portfolio, including market analysis and strategic recommendations. Stay abreast of real estate market trends, economic indicators, and capital markets. Collaborate with internal legal, finance, and operations teams to facilitate transaction closings. Prepare presentations for senior management and investment committees. Evaluate existing portfolio assets for potential disposition or repositioning. Develop and refine investment underwriting criteria and processes. Manage data rooms and ensure accurate record-keeping of all investment-related documents. Contribute to the strategic planning and growth initiatives of the investment division. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred. Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in real estate investment analysis, acquisitions, or financial modeling. Proven expertise in financial modeling using Excel, including DCF, LBO, and sensitivity analysis. Strong understanding of real estate valuation methodologies and market analysis techniques. Experience with various property types (e.g., multifamily, office, retail, industrial). Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in real estate databases and market research tools. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, essential for presenting findings and recommendations remotely. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines in a remote setting. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Experience in underwriting and due diligence processes is highly desirable. Familiarity with real estate legal documentation and transaction processes. Self-motivated and proactive with a strong desire to succeed in a remote-first environment.
