Production Operations Manager

Our client, a leading manufacturing entity known for its high-quality products and efficient operations, is seeking an experienced Production Operations Manager. This role is based in **Nagpur, Maharashtra, IN** and requires a dedicated individual to oversee all aspects of the production floor. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production targets are met consistently, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing facility. You will lead a team of production staff, manage resources, and implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize output and minimize waste.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all daily production activities, ensuring efficient and timely execution of manufacturing processes. Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand and optimize resource utilization. Manage and motivate a team of production supervisors and line workers, fostering a productive and safe work environment. Ensure adherence to all quality control standards and procedures, minimizing defects and rework. Implement and champion lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen). Monitor production KPIs, analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions to address deviations. Manage raw material inventory, ensuring timely availability and efficient usage. Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure optimal operational performance. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations. Manage departmental budgets and control operational costs. Train and develop production staff to enhance skills and productivity. Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control systems. Demonstrated experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent leadership, team management, and motivational skills. Proficiency in production scheduling and inventory management systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in manufacturing. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Production) or a related field. Experience with ERP systems is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
