Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer

Our client, a prominent player in the telecommunications sector, is seeking a vigilant and skilled Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to join their critical infrastructure team based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, IN . This role is essential for maintaining the operational integrity and performance of our extensive network, ensuring seamless connectivity and service delivery to our customers. The NOC Engineer will be responsible for monitoring network traffic, identifying and diagnosing network issues, and implementing timely resolutions to minimize downtime and service disruptions. You will work with state-of-the-art monitoring tools and technologies to proactively detect potential problems across the network, including routers, switches, firewalls, and transmission systems.

Key duties include responding to network alarms, performing initial troubleshooting, and escalating complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary. You will maintain detailed records of network events, incidents, and resolutions, contributing to our knowledge base and continuous improvement efforts. The successful candidate will participate in the configuration and maintenance of network devices, ensuring that all network elements are operating within optimal parameters. This role requires a strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, and various telecommunication transmission methods. Experience with network security principles and tools is also highly valued.
