Our client, a cutting-edge technology firm at the forefront of digital innovation, is seeking a visionary Lead UX/UI Designer to spearhead the design of intuitive and engaging user experiences for their suite of cutting-edge products and platforms. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to work from anywhere within the United States. You will be based conceptually in Washington, D.C., US , collaborating with a globally distributed team. This role is critical in translating complex user needs and business requirements into seamless, aesthetically pleasing, and highly functional interfaces. You will lead the design process from conception through to implementation, advocating for user-centered design principles at every stage. Responsibilities include conducting user research, creating user personas, developing wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes, and defining visual design languages and style guides. You will also collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design vision is realized effectively. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, coupled with at least 8 years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with a significant portion in a leadership or senior capacity. A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of digital design projects, particularly complex web applications and mobile interfaces, is mandatory. Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision) is essential. You must possess exceptional skills in user research methodologies, usability testing, and information architecture. Experience leading design sprints, mentoring junior designers, and presenting design solutions to executive-level stakeholders is highly valued. A deep understanding of current UX/UI trends, accessibility standards (WCAG), and front-end development principles is also required.
