Our client, a prominent player in the mining sector, is actively seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Lead Mining Operations Superintendent to oversee and manage all aspects of their operations in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, IN . This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible extraction of resources. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of underground and surface mining techniques, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of operational excellence. You will be responsible for managing a diverse team, optimizing production targets, and implementing best practices in mine planning, safety, and resource management.

Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive mine operating plans to achieve production targets while ensuring safety and environmental compliance. Supervise and manage all mining activities, including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and processing. Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies. Oversee the maintenance and operation of all mining equipment, including heavy machinery and processing plants. Manage the mining workforce, including recruitment, training, performance management, and labor relations. Develop and manage the annual operating budget for the mining operations. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks. Collaborate with geological and engineering teams to optimize mine planning and resource utilization. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, production, cost, and equipment availability. Foster a culture of safety, productivity, and teamwork among all employees. Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers. Ensure timely reporting of operational performance to senior management. Lead incident investigations and implement preventative measures. Champion the adoption of new technologies and mining methodologies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mine Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications are highly desirable. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mining operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Extensive knowledge of various mining methods (e.g., open-pit, underground). Strong understanding of mine safety regulations and best practices. Proven experience in managing large operational budgets and P&L responsibility. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse teams. Proficiency in mine planning software and relevant operational management systems. Experience with heavy equipment maintenance and fleet management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
