Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead process optimization and efficiency improvements within their **Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, IN** facilities. This role is essential for analyzing current operational processes, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing innovative solutions to boost productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in industrial engineering principles, methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma, and extensive experience in process design, simulation, and statistical analysis. You will lead a team of industrial engineers, guide complex improvement projects, and collaborate closely with production, quality control, and management teams. Key responsibilities include mapping current processes, developing future-state designs, conducting time and motion studies, evaluating equipment and technology needs, and ensuring the successful implementation of engineered solutions. We are looking for a hands-on leader with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, coupled with strong communication and influencing abilities to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers on various projects. Analyze existing production and operational processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Design, develop, and implement new processes, systems, and workflows to enhance productivity and quality. Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive waste reduction and process optimization. Conduct time and motion studies, capacity planning, and facility layout analysis. Develop and implement performance metrics and dashboards to monitor process efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, and R&D, to ensure effective implementation of solutions. Oversee the specification and selection of new equipment and technologies. Prepare detailed technical reports, proposals, and presentations on findings and recommendations. Ensure all engineered solutions comply with safety standards and regulations. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial engineering, with demonstrated leadership experience. Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred), and other process improvement methodologies. Proficiency in process mapping, simulation software, and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab). Strong understanding of production systems, supply chain, and operations management. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Proven project management capabilities. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to effectively lead and motivate teams.
