Our client, a leading industrial conglomerate, is seeking an experienced and innovative Lead Industrial Engineer to join their advanced manufacturing facility in Thane, Maharashtra, IN . This strategic role is responsible for optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and driving cost reductions through the application of industrial engineering principles. The Lead Industrial Engineer will design, develop, and implement integrated systems of people, materials, information, equipment, and energy to optimize complex processes and systems. You will analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and develop solutions to enhance workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity. This role involves leading a team of engineers, guiding them on projects, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, advanced analytical skills, and a proven ability to lead complex engineering projects from conception to implementation. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this demanding position. Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of efficient manufacturing processes and systems. Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction. Develop and implement strategies for optimizing workflow, material handling, and plant layout. Conduct time and motion studies, and implement solutions to improve productivity. Utilize lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement. Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers, providing technical guidance and project oversight. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance to resolve operational issues. Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials. Manage industrial engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or lead role. Proven experience in optimizing manufacturing processes and improving operational efficiency. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency in process simulation, data analysis, and statistical software. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Strong leadership, team management, and communication abilities. Experience with CAD software and plant layout design is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
