Job Description
Our client, a rapidly growing technology firm specializing in data protection, is seeking an experienced Lead Cybersecurity Analyst to join their esteemed team in Nagpur, Maharashtra, IN . This pivotal role demands a proactive and vigilant individual responsible for overseeing the organization's cybersecurity posture, identifying potential threats, implementing robust security measures, and responding effectively to security incidents. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of network security, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response frameworks. You will lead a team of security professionals, mentoring them while driving innovation in our security operations.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and policies. Lead the security operations center (SOC) team, providing direction and oversight. Monitor security alerts and events from various sources (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls) to detect and respond to threats in real-time. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses. Manage and configure security tools and technologies, including firewalls, antivirus, endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions, and intrusion detection systems. Develop and execute incident response plans, including containment, eradication, and recovery. Perform forensic analysis of security incidents to determine root causes and lessons learned. Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices. Provide cybersecurity awareness training to employees across the organization. Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure security is integrated into system design and implementation. Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident reports. Mentor and guide junior cybersecurity analysts, fostering their professional development. Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of network protocols, security architectures, and common attack vectors. Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), EDR solutions, and vulnerability scanners. Expertise in incident response, digital forensics, and malware analysis. Experience with cloud security principles and best practices (AWS, Azure, GCP). Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation is highly desirable. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or OSCP are strongly preferred. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions during security incidents. Experience in risk assessment and management.
