As an Industrial Engineer at our client's manufacturing team, your role is crucial for optimizing production processes, enhancing efficiency, and reducing operational costs. You will be responsible for analyzing existing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing data-driven solutions to improve productivity and quality across the manufacturing floor.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Design and implement new production systems and workflows using principles of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Develop and utilize process simulation tools to model and test proposed changes before implementation.
- Collect and analyze production data to monitor performance, identify trends, and establish baseline metrics.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for new and improved processes.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless implementation of process changes.
- Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workforce utilization and workflow.
- Evaluate new technologies and equipment for potential adoption to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
- Train production staff on new processes and best practices.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on process improvement initiatives and their outcomes.
- *Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements using lean and Six Sigma methodologies (certification preferred).
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab) and process simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, and quality control.
