Our client, a distinguished forensic accounting firm, is seeking a meticulous and analytical Forensic Accountant to join their dynamic team in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, IN . This role involves investigating financial irregularities, fraud, and white-collar crimes for a diverse range of clients, including corporations, legal firms, and government agencies. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing financial evidence, conducting interviews, reconstructing financial records, and preparing comprehensive reports to support litigation or internal investigations. Key responsibilities include performing detailed data analysis of financial transactions, identifying discrepancies, and tracing illicit financial flows. You will develop and execute audit plans tailored to specific forensic engagements, ensuring all evidence is collected and preserved in accordance with legal standards. The Forensic Accountant will assist in quantifying financial damages, assessing the impact of fraud, and providing expert witness testimony in legal proceedings when required. Collaboration with law enforcement agencies, legal counsel, and internal audit teams will be a frequent aspect of the role. Staying current with accounting principles, fraud detection techniques, and relevant legal frameworks is essential. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently and under pressure. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or equivalent are strongly preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or investigations, with at least 3 years specifically in forensic accounting or fraud examination, is required. Strong analytical, research, and written/verbal communication skills are essential. Proficiency in data analysis software and accounting investigation tools is a significant advantage. Experience with litigation support and providing expert testimony is highly desirable.
