Field Service Technician - Industrial Machinery

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician specializing in Industrial Machinery for their operations in **Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, IN**. This role is essential for providing on-site support, maintenance, and repair services for a diverse range of industrial equipment at client locations. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing equipment malfunctions, performing complex repairs, conducting preventative maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction through expert technical assistance. Travel to customer sites within the region will be a significant part of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing on-site installations, commissioning, and setup of new industrial machinery. Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control system issues on various types of equipment. Executing scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity. Conducting emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime and production interruptions for clients. Reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to accurately diagnose and repair faults. Providing technical training and guidance to customer personnel on equipment operation and maintenance. Documenting all service activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and time spent, in detailed service reports. Maintaining an organized inventory of spare parts and tools in the service vehicle. Adhering strictly to all company safety policies and customer site safety regulations. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, ensuring their technical needs are met effectively.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude, a proven ability to troubleshoot complex machinery, and excellent customer service skills. A background in mechanical or electrical engineering technology, coupled with hands-on experience with industrial equipment, is highly desirable.
