Responsibilities
Design and develop comprehensive curriculum frameworks, learning objectives, and course content for various academic programs, including online, hybrid, and traditional formats. Collaborate with faculty and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and translate them into measurable learning outcomes. Create engaging instructional materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, lectures, assignments, assessments, and multimedia resources. Ensure curriculum alignment with institutional accreditation standards, program goals, and industry best practices. Evaluate existing curricula for effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement and revision. Implement innovative pedagogical approaches and incorporate educational technologies to enhance the learning experience. Manage curriculum development projects from conceptualization through implementation, ensuring timely completion. Conduct needs assessments and research educational trends to inform curriculum design. Provide training and support to faculty on curriculum development processes and best practices. Maintain accurate documentation and records of all curriculum materials and development activities.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Instructional Design, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in curriculum development, preferably within higher education. Demonstrated expertise in instructional design principles, learning theories, and adult learning strategies. Proven ability to design and develop engaging learning content for diverse audiences and delivery modalities. Experience with learning management systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail. Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders. Familiarity with accreditation standards and processes in higher education is highly desirable.
