Responsibilities

Develop evidence-based recommendations for crop nutrition, pest and disease management, irrigation, and soil conservation practices. Conduct soil testing and analysis to assess nutrient levels, pH, and other critical factors affecting crop growth. Research and evaluate new crop varieties, fertilizers, pesticides, and farming techniques. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research, sales, and production, to support agricultural initiatives. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and publications detailing research findings and recommendations. Provide technical support and training to farmers, agronomists, and stakeholders on best agricultural practices. Stay current with scientific literature, industry trends, and regulatory changes impacting agriculture. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainable farming principles. Participate in industry conferences and workshops to present research and network with peers. Maintain accurate records of all research activities and experimental data. Qualifications:

Master's or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a related agricultural field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in agricultural research, field trials, or agronomic consulting. Strong understanding of plant physiology, soil chemistry, and crop-soil-environment interactions. Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) and data management. Experience with agricultural field equipment and sampling techniques. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex scientific information clearly. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field sites.
