Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder with experience in welding aluminum to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding techniques, including MIG and TIG processes, and have the ability to read blueprints and fabricate components according to specifications. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand tools, ensuring high-quality welds and adherence to safety standards.
We are building houseboats here and weld aluminum. There will be a weld test prior to interview.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, ensuring strong and precise welds.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to fabricate components accurately.
- Utilize plasma cutting techniques as needed for shaping materials.
- Conduct quality checks using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure specifications are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve welding processes.
- Assist in machining tasks as required, demonstrating versatility in fabrication skills.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding techniques is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools effectively.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and fabrication processes is required.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
- Experience with plasma cutting is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work are crucial for success in this role.
