Position provides audit and input of assigned academic and nonacademic transactions, functioning as the primary source for payroll and personnel policies and procedures.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Advises and assists departmental supervisors on payroll related issues.
- Processes payroll transactions for academic and nonacademic personnel.
- Assists new employees with completing the appropriate new hire, payroll and benefit forms. May provide general orientation for new employee.
- Responsible for departmental foreign national paperwork and compliance for visas.
- Assists supervisors with the hiring process including job requisitions, PHS entry and appointment screening.
- May maintain sick and vacation leave records for staff personnel.
- Prepares cost-transfers and journals adjusting when necessary.
- Maintains personnel and payroll related files for department.
- May assist supervisors with documentation needed for employee evaluation process.
- May assist in annual budget process.
- Ensures accuracy and completion of PAR’s reports.
- Administers academic bonus plan and faculty compensation plan.
