Role and Responsibilities of Staff, Product Manager:
You will oversee daily Vision Center operations, drive retail sales performance, and maintain excellence in optical services while developing team members and ensuring adherence to company policies and applicable legal regulations.
- Increase sales by maintaining effective merchandise displays, accurate pricing, compliant signage, appropriate inventory levels, budgeting accuracy, forecasting, and evaluating local economic trends and community demands
- Demonstrate, reinforce, and guide high standards of customer and member service to address inquiries, concerns, and complaints in accordance with company guidelines
- Lead and support community outreach initiatives while encouraging associate participation and engagement
- Maintain compliance with company policies and legal requirements by reviewing reports, monitoring safety and asset protection measures, conducting operational and quality assurance assessments, and implementing corrective action plans
- Recruit, supervise, train, mentor, delegate tasks to, and recognize associates while promoting a culture of inclusion and teamwork
- Provide professional eyewear consultations by obtaining precise measurements, verifying prescriptions, safeguarding confidential information, performing minor frame adjustments or repairs, and maintaining optical equipment
- Support the Open Door Policy by actively listening to concerns, reviewing relevant policies, researching issues, and recommending appropriate resolutions
- Coordinate operational activities, develop stakeholder relationships, communicate objectives, monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and foster continuous development
- Exemplify company values by building high-performing teams, acting with integrity, supporting sustainability efforts, delivering member-focused results, and driving continuous operational enhancement
Required Skills and Experience of Staff, Product Manager:
- Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year of retail experience combined with 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience including at least 1 year of optical experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician in accordance with applicable state laws, regulations, and licensing requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supervising associates in a retail or optical setting
Compensation and Benefits of Staff, Product Manager:
- $2,500 signing bonus distributed in two payments: $1,000 after 90 days of continuous employment and $1,500 after 6 months of continuous employment (subject to repayment terms and applicable tax withholdings)
- Competitive hourly wage range of $38.50 – $50.00, with actual pay meeting or exceeding applicable minimum wage standards
- Additional hourly premium pay ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 based on schedule, facility, season, or specific responsibilities; multiple premiums may apply when eligibility criteria are met
