Description

Are you ready to join an innovative and cutting-edge technology project? This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Software Engineer to build and enhance advanced software systems (RESTful APIs) used in manufacturing environments. This role involves full-cycle development of scalable applications supporting modern industry initiatives, including real-time systems and machine learning-driven solutions. You will work within a fresh microservices architecture, deploying solutions across both on-premise and cloud platforms (AWS), while collaborating closely with production teams to deliver high-impact outcomes. This position offers a competitive hourly rate with high potential for contract extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable applications and microservices.
• Build and integrate real-time and machine learning-based systems.
• Support production systems through troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Translate production and user requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development cycles.
• Contribute to system testing, performance tuning, and reliability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with computer vision and machine learning (e.g., object detection, OCR, image classification) in production environments.
• Minimum eight years of full SDLC experience, focused on REST APIs and microservice architecture.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience developing backend components using .NET or Spring Boot, as well as frontend components using Angular or React.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server).
• Familiarity with Linux environments and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to messaging systems, caching, or event-driven architectures.
• Strong problem-solving and ownership mindset.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and analytical problem-solving skills.
