Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong experience building production-grade AI/ML-backed systems. The role requires hands-on expertise in RAG pipelines, embeddings, retrieval, and backend system design. This is not a learning role—candidates must have already delivered ML-backed backend systems in live environments.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain backend services for AI-powered products

Design and implement RAG pipelines (document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector search, re-ranking)

Integrate ML models into backend services with proper APIs and contracts

Optimize system performance, latency, and cost

Add strong observability (logs, metrics, tracing, alerts)

Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of backend systems

Work closely with ML teams on evaluation, model routing, and release readiness

Must-Have Skills

6–10 years of backend engineering experience

2–3+ years working on AI / ML-backed products

Strong experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases

Solid backend fundamentals (API design, concurrency, caching, rate limiting)

Understanding of retrieval evaluation (precision, recall, ranking quality)

Experience shipping, deploying, and maintaining production systems

Good to Have

Experience with FAISS / Pinecone / Milvus / Elasticsearch

Agentic workflows or tool-calling systems

Kubernetes and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
