Overview
We're looking for an experienced HR Manager to serve as both a strategic partner and hands-on operator across all areas of human resources. This role is split approximately 50% strategic initiatives - talent development, workforce planning, and culture - and 50% operational execution - employee relations, compliance, and HR administration. You'll work closely with leadership to shape and execute HR strategy while owning the day-to-day functions that keep the organization running. This is a well-rounded generalist role with real influence and visibility across the business.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead full-cycle talent acquisition including workforce planning, recruiting, and onboarding.
- Design and manage performance management processes; support succession planning and leadership development.
- Coach managers on leadership, feedback, and accountability.
- Drive employee engagement and culture-building initiatives.
- Identify training needs and implement targeted employee development programs.
- Analyze HR metrics (turnover, engagement, hiring trends) to inform decisions.
- Manage employee relations matters with consistency and legal compliance.
- Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and compensation processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
- Manage HRIS systems for data accuracy and reporting integrity.
- Support audits, documentation, and regulatory reporting.
- Partner with IT and leadership on systems improvements and process efficiencies.
- Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and the full employee lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law.
- Experience with HRIS systems and HR analytics/reporting tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proven ability to handle employee relations and influence leadership decisions.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Personable communicator who can coach managers and partner effectively with leadership.
- Must be available on-site full-time.
Nice To Have
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products industries.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR).
