Job Summary

Are you the type of person who can lead people of all backgrounds and prioritize work to meet customer needs? In this role you will support the day-to-day work of our production team members and collaborate with other areas to continually improve processes and meet customer demand. You will facilitate communication, ensure proper training is in place, and plan and direct the work of team members. We’re looking for individuals who communicate well and lead others with technical expertise.

What You’ll Do

1. Model and drive the need for customer-focused team members while moving product to the next stage in the value stream process.

2. Apply lean principles to support the team and complete follow-up items from Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.

3. Collect current and accurate information on the managing for daily improvement (MDI) board to drive completion of counter measures and communicate with team members.

4. Ensure team members have appropriate tools to effectively complete their job tasks.

5. Prioritize opportunities for current team member development and facilitate training of new team members. Ensure cross-training is in place for maximum coverage and support of processes. Ensure execution of countermeasures to meet Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Scorecard requirements.

What We’re Looking For

- High School Diploma or HiSET.

- One-year manufacturing related experience.

- Ability to lead others in alignment with the Vermeer characteristics and behaviors.

- Ability to perform problem solving techniques and implement counter measures.

- Demonstrated understanding of performance measurements including, but not limited to, safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory.

- Understanding of lean principles.

- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.

- Ability to assess, evaluate, and carry out appropriate action in multiple situations.

- Understanding of equipment and machinery operation.

- Bilingual fluency in Spanish, preferred.
