Food Safety Compliance Officer

Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Quality Manager, the incumbent ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and certification standards. They support production teams on a daily basis, conduct internal audits, deliver training sessions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality system.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily verification of quality records and ensure follow-up on non-conformities.
• Meet with and support employees when deviations are identified (coaching, reinforcement of best practices, documentation).
• Plan, prepare, and deliver quality training (procedures, certification requirements, good manufacturing practices).
• Conduct internal audits, document findings, and ensure follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Draft, update, and implement quality procedures and documents; validate their application on the production floor.
• Support the Quality team in daily operational activities (priorities, KPIs, continuous improvement).
• Participate in new product introductions: label validation, compliance verification, and related documentation.
• Collaborate on incident/breakdown analysis and support the implementation of corrective measures in partnership with Production and Maintenance.

Main Responsibilities

• College Diploma (DEC) in Food Processing Technology and Quality or any other relevant diploma related to the position
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in quality assurance or food compliance
• Functional bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written; Spanish is an asset
• Ability to thrive in a developing environment where multiple processes are being structured and implemented
• Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Attention to detail, rigor, and strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong teamwork abilities
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of professionalism
