About the Role

Vedansh Academy is looking for a passionate, dedicated, and student-focused High School Science Teacher who can inspire curiosity and scientific thinking among students of Classes 8 to 10. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and a commitment to academic excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning

• Teach Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) for Classes 8–10 (CBSE/State/ICSE).
• Prepare engaging lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
• Conduct practical demonstrations and laboratory activities wherever applicable.
• Simplify complex scientific concepts through real-life examples.
• Promote inquiry-based and activity-oriented learning.

Student Assessment

• Prepare worksheets, assignments, quizzes, and examinations.
• Evaluate answer scripts and provide constructive feedback.
• Monitor student progress and maintain academic records.
• Identify slow learners and provide remedial support.
• Encourage high-performing students through advanced learning opportunities.

Classroom Management

• Maintain a disciplined, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Foster curiosity, creativity, and scientific temperament.
• Ensure student safety during laboratory sessions.

Curriculum Development

• Contribute to curriculum planning and content development.
• Prepare question banks, study materials, presentations, and practical manuals.
• Participate in textbook and workbook development when required.

Parent Communication

• Attend parent-teacher meetings.
• Communicate student progress and academic concerns professionally.
• Maintain regular interaction with parents regarding student development.

School Activities

• Organize Science Exhibitions, STEM activities, and Olympiad preparation.
• Mentor students for science fairs and competitions.
• Participate in workshops, training programs, and school events.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain attendance records and academic documentation.
• Complete reports and assigned administrative tasks on time.
• Follow school policies and academic standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science (B.Sc.)
• B.Ed. is mandatory (preferred for experienced candidates).
• Master's Degree (M.Sc.) is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology up to Class 10 level.
