Technology Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated IT Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates exceptional initiative. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous learning. This role involves both independent work and collaboration within a team, as well as involvement in project planning, execution, and day-to-day technical operations. Candidates must have strong English speaking/writing/reading skills.

Availability: Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm and Must be able to work after-hours and participate in an on-call rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, administration, and optimization of M365 environments.
• Accept call and E-mails directed to Service/Support
• Create and Manage Service Tickting
• Plan, execute, and manage IT projects with minimal supervision.
• Implement and manage security controls across M365 tenants and network environments.
• Configure and administer firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki MX series, Fortigate, etc.)
• Utilize Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) tools and service ticketing systems.
• Participate in after-hours and on-call support rotations.
• Maintain adherence to compliance standards including PHIPA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.

Required Qualifications

• Successful completion of post-secondary education in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven ability to work independently and unsupervised, as well as within a team environment.
• Above-average organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience working with RMM tools and service ticketing platforms.
• Must provide a clean Police Record Check.
• Must provide a clean Driver’s Abstract.
• MUST have own reliable transportation

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Microsoft 365 Expertise
• Cybersecurity Knowledge
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as PHIPA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
• Security Tools & Platforms
• Good understanding of EDR, MDR, XDR, SIEM, ITDR, and SOC operations.

Salary $60,000/annual based on experience. Negotiable based on experience

Car and Cell phone allowances will be available to suitable candidates to travel to customer locations within 50 km of the office.

Benefits available once probationary period (6 months) is over.
