Job Summary

The Magazine Writer is responsible for researching, writing, editing, and developing engaging, accurate, and high-quality content for the Company's print and digital magazines. The role requires excellent storytelling skills, strong research abilities, creativity, and the capability to produce compelling feature articles, interviews, success stories, educational content, and promotional write-ups that align with the organization's vision and brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and write original, engaging, and informative articles.
• Develop feature stories, cover stories, interviews, and opinion pieces.
• Write content related to education, business, technology, entrepreneurship, lifestyle, health, and social initiatives.
• Conduct interviews with industry experts, business leaders, educators, students, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare success stories, case studies, and event coverage.
• Create content for monthly, quarterly, or special editions of the magazine.
• Ensure factual accuracy through thorough research and verification.
• Coordinate with photographers, graphic designers, and the editorial team for effective content presentation.
• Edit and proofread articles to maintain high editorial standards.
• Ensure content is plagiarism-free and grammatically accurate.
• Meet editorial deadlines consistently.
• Assist in planning editorial calendars and content strategies.
• Write headlines, captions, introductions, and summaries.
• Optimize content for both print and digital platforms where required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English Literature, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field.
• Master's degree is an added advantage.

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in magazine writing, journalism, editorial content, or corporate communications.
• Experience in education, business, technology, or lifestyle publications is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of Adobe InDesign or Canva is desirable.
• Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) is an advantage.
