Join Vancity as a Lead Data Scientist, focusing on Applied Machine Learning and Decision Intelligence in a hybrid role. Drive the creation and implementation of predictive models.

This permanent, full-time position requires a hands-on leader to guide a team in delivering machine learning solutions that shape business strategies. You will be responsible for overseeing the ML process from ideation to production, coordinating efforts among Data Scientists and Cloud Engineers. By collaborating with external vendors, you'll ensure seamless integration of solutions into Vancity’s systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the delivery of classic ML solutions for business execution
• Manage the ML development lifecycle from concept to deployment
• Formulate and enforce ML operations standards and architectures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for optimal integration
• Communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience in Applied ML or Analytics Engineering
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in relevant disciplines
• Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
• Expertise in delivering ML models in production settings
• Proficiency in Azure ML and Databricks workflows
