ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a creative and detail-oriented Fullstack Developer with strong

frontend foundations and hands-on experience with Shopify Liquid. You'll craft

beautiful, performant user interfaces while working across the stack to deliver

end-to-end solutions.

If you have a sharp eye for design, love building polished UI components, and

enjoy working with modern JavaScript and templating systems, we'd love to hear

TECHNICAL SKILLSETS

Frontend Core (Primary Focus)

• HTML5 - Semantic markup, accessibility standards, SEO best practices
• CSS3 - Flexbox, Grid, animations, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility
• JavaScript (ES6+) - DOM manipulation, async/await, modules, event handling
• TypeScript - Type annotations, interfaces, generics, strict mode development

Shopify & Liquid

• Liquid Templating - Shopify theme development, custom sections and blocks
• Theme Customization - Online Store 2.0, Dawn theme modifications, metafields
• Shopify App Integration - Third-party app customization, AJAX API
• Performance - Lazy loading, image optimization, Core Web Vitals

Design Skillsets (Strong Plus)

• UI/UX Principles - Design systems, component libraries, visual hierarchy
• Figma / Design Tools - Translating mockups to pixel-perfect implementations
• Brand Consistency - Typography, color systems, spacing and layout conventions
• Responsive & Mobile-first - Breakpoints, fluid layouts, touch interactions

Backend & Fullstack

• Node.js - REST API integration, server-side rendering basics
• Databases - Basic CRUD operations, working with APIs and data structures
• Version Control - Git workflows, branching strategies, code reviews

NON-TECHNICAL SKILLSETS

• Strong analytical skills with clear trade-off reasoning
• Proactively identifying edge cases and UX failure states
• Designing practical solutions under real-world constraints

• Clear communication with designers and product stakeholders
• Explaining technical constraints and tradeoffs in non-technical terms
• Documenting component APIs, usage guides, and design decisions

Engineering Judgment

• Knowing when to build custom vs. use existing libraries or themes
• Balancing design fidelity with development velocity
• Understanding e-commerce business goals and conversion optimization

Quality & Collaboration

• Writing clean, maintainable code with consistent naming conventions
• Cross-browser and cross-device testing discipline
• Participating in design reviews and frontend code reviews
• Willingness to share frontend knowledge and mentor junior team members

EXPERIENCE LEVEL

• 2+ years of professional frontend development
• Hands-on experience with Shopify Liquid and theme development
• A portfolio or examples demonstrating strong design sensibility
• E-commerce experience is a strong plus
