We are geared to achieve underwriting excellence and are committed to excellent customer service. We are seeking an Underwriting Assistant to become a part of our dynamic and knowledgeable team.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application and throughout employment. The employer does not provide immigration sponsorship, work permit support, or Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) sponsorship.

Job description

The Role

  • Process policies and documentation in a timely manner
  • Administrative support to managers and underwriters as required
  • Contribute to building strong broker relationships by providing excellent customer service
  • Work effectively towards the goals of the team
  • Perform other general duties, as required

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work within a fast-paced environment
  • Professional and personable
  • Demonstrates an interest in learning and building career in the Insurance Industry

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary education an asset
  • CIP an asset or willingness to enroll in classes
  • Previous experience in the insurance industry an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
