Finance Manager 3 - 6 Month Contract

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Financial Reporting to join our finance team. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial statements and reporting obligations. The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.

About the Opportunity

Financial Reporting & Financial Statements

• Lead the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP
• Author full FS notes including narrative commentary — not just supporting tables; ability to craft clear, insightful disclosures is essential
• Coordinate with the Financial Reporting team on note supporting schedules
• Acquisition Accounting:

Read and interpret purchase agreements to identify accounting implications

• Perform proper acquisition accounting including purchase price allocation, fair value adjustments, and balance sheet recognition
• Ensure all M&A transactions are accurately reflected on the Balance Sheet in compliance with applicable standards (IFRS 3 / ASC 805)
• Debt Covenant Reporting:

Own end-to-end debt covenant reporting — from interpreting the credit/debt agreement to identifying all required adjustments

• Prepare and review covenant compliance certificates and supporting calculations
• Liaise with legal, treasury, and external lenders as required
• Month-End / Quarter-End Close:

Support GL reporting and month-end/quarter-end close processes

• Ensure timely and accurate close in line with reporting deadlines
• Systems & Tools:

Maintain and improve reporting processes and controls

About You

• Must-Have Qualifications:
• CPA designation (required)
• Acquisition accounting experience — hands-on reading of purchase agreements and balance sheet accounting for M&A transactions
• Debt covenant reporting expertise — ability to interpret agreements and apply all required adjustments independently
• FS note writing — proven ability to draft full financial statement notes including narrative commentary (not just tables)
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or GAAP
• Experience with GL reporting and period-end close processes
• Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
• Experience with Netsuite (GL) and Smartview
• Experience in a similar hands on role
