Job Description

As an SAP BODS, HANA / ETL Developer at UST in Bangalore, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the digital transformation journey of global companies. Your role will involve the following key responsibilities:

  • Strong knowledge of SAP modules such as FICO, BRIM, P2P, and their data structures.
  • Solid understanding of SAP HANA architecture and data modeling concepts.
  • Proven experience in Data Warehouse and ETL development.
  • Hands-on expertise in ETL tools such as SAP BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services) or similar tools.
  • Experience designing and implementing ETL transformation processes using multiple data sources such as SAP systems, Salesforce (SFDC), SuccessFactors, and other enterprise data sources.

Your experience in designing, developing, and implementing SAP HANA solutions will be crucial, including strong hands-on experience with SQL scripting, stored procedures, and data models in SAP HANA. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining HANA Views, including Attribute Views, Analytic Views, and Calculation Views, as well as implementing data provisioning and replication scenarios.

In this role, your problem-solving skills will be essential as you tackle complex data integration and transformation challenges, troubleshoot data discrepancies, ETL failures, and performance issues. Your ability to analyze problems and apply best practices to implement efficient ETL solutions will be key to your success.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements, participation in code reviews, adherence to development best practices, contribution to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision to deliver high-quality work are also part of your responsibilities.

Good-to-have skills include experience working with enterprise data integration architectures, exposure to multiple enterprise systems and cloud data platforms, knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, or metadata management, as well as experience in large-scale enterprise data warehouse implementations. SAP certifications, advanced degrees, or relevant technical certifications are preferred.
