Molding Lead - Night Shift (6:00pm to 6:00am)

 

Overview

US Conec is seeking a hands-on Molding Lead to oversee injection molding operations on our night shift team. In this leadership role, you’ll guide a team of Molding Technicians to meet production goals, ensure quality standards, and drive continuous improvement across the department. You’ll play a key role in coordinating schedules, troubleshooting equipment, and motivating your team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Requisition materials required to meet production goals
  • Examine molded products to ensure they meet specifications
  • Review production schedules and estimate labor requirements
  • Interpret company policies and enforce safety regulations
  • Communicate specifications, blueprints, and job orders to team members
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production timelines
  • Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality
  • Suggest changes to working conditions and equipment usage to increase efficiency
  • Analyze and resolve work-related issues or assist team members in problem-solving
  • Motivate team members to achieve production and quality goals
  • Maintain accurate time and production records
  • Coordinate activities with other supervisors and departments
  • Set up machines and equipment as needed
  • Perform duties alongside team members when required

 

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or molding leadership role
  • Forklift certification required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and related applications
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret varied instructions
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Effective communication skills for leading teams and presenting information

 

Supervisory Scope

  • Directly leads 5–10 Molding Technicians across first, second, or third shift
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, performance reviews, and conflict resolution
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws
