CNC Milling Machinist

Job Summary

Unity Recruitments Inc. is currently hiring a skilled CNC Mill Machinist for our client in Woodbridge. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in machine setup, operation, and basic CNC programming. This role requires the ability to produce precision parts while maintaining high quality and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust CNC milling machines (3-axis / 4-axis / 5-axis)
• Perform full machine setups including tooling, fixtures, and offsets
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T specifications
• Make minor CNC program edits and have basic knowledge of G-code/M-code
• Load, test, and prove out programs before production runs
• Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure product quality
• Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize performance
• Perform routine machine maintenance
• Follow workplace safety standards and keep work area clean

Requirements

• Minimum 2–5 years of CNC milling experience
• Strong experience in machine setup and operation
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of CNC programming (G-code)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Haas, or similar
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Machining certification or apprenticeship (preferred)
• Trade certification (Machinist) is an asset

Work Conditions

• Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Overtime may be available
• Manufacturing/shop environment
• Standing for extended periods and lifting may be required
