Role Overview
We are seeking a mobile-first UX Designer, Cart & Checkout, to own the Information Architecture, Interaction Design, and Visual Design for the transactional portion of our purchase funnel, including Cart, Checkout, Payments, Promotions, and Recovery experiences. This role is responsible for ensuring guests can complete purchases easily, confidently, and reliably, while supporting complex business, legal, and operational requirements. You will design across Mobile and Desktop Web as well as App-Embedded Web, ensuring a cohesive experience while accounting for platform-specific constraints. This position is eligible for Remote Work.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end UX and UI design for Cart and Checkout experiences across all brands and parks.
- Define and evolve the Information Architecture and Interaction Patterns for Cart, Checkout, and Confirmation Flows.
- Design Payment Selection, Promotions, Error Handling, and Recovery experiences.
- Translate complex constraints (taxes, fees, payment, insurance, compliance) into clear and trustworthy user experiences.
- Partner closely with Product Managers to shape strategy, requirements, and trade-offs.
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Payments teams to ensure designs meet regulatory and operational requirements.
- Contribute to and evolve shared design systems, patterns, and documentation.
- Conduct and synthesize user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions.
- Rapidly prototype and iterate on concepts, incorporating feedback from data, testing, and stakeholders.
- Partner with the E-Commerce Products Designer to ensure a seamless, end-to-end purchase journey.
- Collaborate with Engineering to ensure high-quality implementation and smooth handoff.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in UX/UI design with respected consumer E-Commerce business(es).
- Strong experience designing Mobile-first Web and App E-Commerce shopping experiences, particularly checkout, payment, and transactional flows.
- Demonstrated expertise in information architecture, interaction design, and visual design.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers.
- Experience conducting usability testing, research synthesis, and competitive analysis.
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
