Electrician – Generator Testing

• Perform functional testing, load testing, and performance verification of generators to ensure compliance with operational specifications and customer requirements.
• Monitor and record critical generator parameters such as voltage, current, frequency, insulation resistance, and output stability during testing, and prepare detailed test reports while reporting any deviations or faults for corrective action.
• Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical wiring, control panels, power distribution boards, and related systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues in equipment, machinery, and facility infrastructure using appropriate diagnostic tools.
• Ensure proper grounding, earthing, and safety compliance across all electrical installations.
• Conduct routine inspections of circuits, breakers, switches, and electrical components to identify potential faults.
• Install and maintain lighting systems, power sockets, conduits, and cable trays as per industrial standards.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
• Assist in assembling and wiring electrical components inside LRUs, cabinets, and racks (if required).
• Support field teams during installation and commissioning activities at client locations.
• Maintain proper documentation of electrical work completed, including checklists and reports.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards (including PPE usage) and follow all electrical codes and protocols.
• Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams for smooth execution of electrical tasks.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
• Replace defective components such as switches, relays, fuses, and circuit breakers.
• Test electrical systems using multimeters, continuity testers, and other instruments for verifying performance.
• Identify and report hazards or malfunctioning systems promptly to supervisors
