ECE/RECE Childcare Educator

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ECE/RECE Childcare Educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children in early childhood settings. Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration
• Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to families and team members
• Maintain accurate records of children's activities, health, and developmental milestones
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and adapt teaching strategies for diverse learners
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a supportive educational experience
• Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized plans and accommodations
• Ensure health and safety standards are consistently met within the classroom setting
• Use computer skills to document observations, prepare reports, and manage administrative tasks efficiently
• Demonstrate leadership qualities by guiding new staff or interns as needed
• Manage time effectively to balance classroom responsibilities with administrative duties

Experience

• Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or related settings is preferred
• Knowledge of special education practices and working with children with disabilities is advantageous
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable to support diverse communities
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for engaging with children, families, and team members
• Familiarity with computer operation for documentation, lesson planning, and communication purposes
• Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
• Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds enhances the ability to create an inclusive learning environment
