Job Description
As an Assistant Sales Manager, you do more than support the Store Manager – you help lead the store. Your duties include overseeing daily operations, coaching team members, and achieving outcomes that contribute to a high-performing, customer-focused store. Your Impact:
- Support the implementation of the business plan by helping achieve sales goals, improve profitability, and meet key store targets
- Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team
- Analyze daily sales trends to enable agile and informed business decisions
- Manage payroll processes and adjust schedules to optimize productivity
- Apply merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and maintain brand consistency
- Understand loss prevention standards and monitor audit compliance and outcomes
- Assume leadership or rotate responsibility in key areas such as Talent, Visuals, and Operations
- Support omni-channel initiatives, including apps, social promotions, and athlete contests
- Model a professional and inspiring presence aligned with Under Armour’s core strengths and operational standards
- Encourage teammate engagement by recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance
- Identify and address any performance challenges among team members
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to address key issues and find solutions
- Support adherence to Under Armour policies and standards alongside the Store Manager
- Perform any additional duties assigned by leadership
Requirements
- Minimum age: 18 years
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of retail experience
- Fluent in the local language; basic English skills preferred
- Availability for full-time hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable with or open to learning mobile and handheld technology
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift packages up to 25 lbs / 12 kgs per shift, with or without accommodations
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws for compliance
