Our work depends on a Java/ETL Developer joining our highly skilled team to be a premier provider of cyber security services to the customer. We provide consummate cyber security risk management “as a service” platform across multiple fabrics and centers. We are responsible for ensuring operational IT capabilities that provide the client with necessary timeliness, accuracy, and security of information demanded from all our highly professional roles.
The Java/ETL Developer will manipulate data and data flows for both existing and new systems. Additionally, they will provide support in areas such as data extraction, transformation and load (ETL), data mapping, analytics, operations, databases, and maintenance of data and associated systems. As a member of the team, the candidate will work in a multi-tasking, quick-paced, dynamic, process-improvement environment that requires experience with the principles of large-scale (terabytes) database development, large-scale file manipulation, data modeling, data mapping, data testing, data quality, and documentation preparation.
The Java/ETL Developer will also be tasked with developing and managing complex data flows, troubleshooting complex problems, and resolving hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations.
Requirements
- 8+ years of related data engineering and ETL experience.
- Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent 5 years job-related experience.
- Demonstrated experience with the following languages: Java/J2EE, XML, JSON, Python.
- Demonstrated experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle/MySQL).
- Demonstrated experience with search architecture and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, ElasticSearch, ArcGIS).
- Familiarity with server operating systems; Windows, Linux, and cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with database methodologies.
- Familiarity with source code management and integration (e.g., GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins).
- Familiarity with ETL frameworks such as SAFE FME, Pentaho, or NiFi.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, constantly evolving work environment with a focus on continual process improvement and proactive problem solving.
- Excellent organizational, coordination, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
- TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
Work Requirements
- Travel Required: Less than 10%.
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required.
Salary and Benefits
The likely salary range for this position is $174,250 - $235,750. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
