Job Description
Finance & Accounting Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance & Accounting Specialist to support daily accounting operations, cash management, reconciliations, and month-end financial reporting in a fast-paced financial environment. This will be a 2-3 month contract with possibility of extension. In office 2 days a week; pay rate ranges from $30-45 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily cash balance and balance sheet reports
- Monitor account activity and process wire transfers
- Reconcile transactions and general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end journal entries and financial reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial data
Qualifications
- 4+ years of accounting or financial operations experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
- Experience with general ledger reconciliations and financial reporting
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
