Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth by developing new business, expanding customer relationships, and serving as the face of the Maxi-Lift product line throughout an assigned territory. This is an individual contributor role (not a team leadership position) with full ownership of the assigned territory. You'll have the autonomy to develop your sales strategy, build customer relationships, and drive revenue growth. This position will work across the Upper Midwest region, which includes Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota

You'll focus on expanding our elevator bucket and belting product lines with current and new agricultural and industrial customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. New Business Development (50%)

  • Proactively identify and develop new customer relationships in the Agriculture and Industrial sectors.
  • Target OEMs, contractors, wholesale distributors, and large-scale end-users.
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry functions to generate leads and support branding.

2. Territory Management & Account Growth (40%)

  • Serve as the key point of contact for all sales-related matters within your territory.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers and look for opportunities to upsell or cross-sell.
  • Leverage CRM tools to manage customer data, sales pipelines, and follow-ups.
  • Track competitor activity and market trends to adjust strategies accordingly.

3. Reporting & Collaboration (10%)

  • Submit regular sales activity reports, forecasts, and performance updates to leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including Product Management, Customer Service, and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction and operational alignment.
  • Help guide field-level execution of broader national strategies and product launches.

  • Revenue growth by territory and product line
  • Number of new customers/accounts established
  • Conversion rate on quotes and follow-up activity
  • Average order value and product mix improvement
  • Timely and accurate reporting in CRM

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent industry experience considered
  • Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience in B2B environments; Agriculture, Poultry, and/or Industrial markets strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships
  • Experience launching or growing new project lines is a plus
  • Experience working autonomously in field sales across a multi-state region

 

Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage a territory independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong understanding of sales pipeline development and customer lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with pricing structures, quoting, and basic contract terms
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively

 

Compensation & Benefits

This position offers a base salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and territory success. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for commissions and/or performance-based incentives tied to revenue growth, new account acquisition, or other key performance indicators.  Travel reimbursement and tools necessary for success in the field will also be provided.
