Insight Health Solutions (IHS) provides third-party health services to a variety of sectors. Embedded within the entrepreneurial program THP Solutions, IHS works closely with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality, expedited assessment, treatment, and diagnostic services.
Position Overview:
As the Mental Health Clinician/Psychotherapist for the WSIB Neuro Specialized Care Program, you will be an integral member of the interdisciplinary team supporting worker recovery through a functionally integrated program. The Mental Health Clinician/Psychotherapist will play a key role in the assessment and treatment of individuals referred by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). In collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, OTA/PTAs, kinesiologists, and, where appropriate, psychiatrists and psychologists, you will help guide treatment and recovery.
Position Summary:
- Complete mental health assessments for workers in the Neuro Specialized Care Program who require mental health and/or psychosocial support for recovery.
- Provide evidence-based one-to-one treatment interventions, including but not limited to CBT, ACT, and DBT.
- Participate in interprofessional rounds to discuss recovery barriers and treatment planning.
- Prepare in-depth clinical reports that support case management.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including insurers and employers.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree (preferred) in regulated health care profession (Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Registered Psychotherapist (authorized to practice independently)
- Membership in good standing with the relevant professional college.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience working with individuals living with mental health concerns.
- Extensive training and experience providing time-limited, evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
- Strong individual psychotherapy skills are required.
- Knowledge of data collection tools.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, combined with the ability to work independently and as part of an interprofessional team.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands, with a positive work and attendance record.
- Hospital-based mental health and third-party experience are considered assets.
