Trident Consulting is seeking a "QC Analytical Chemist" for one of our clients in "Branchburg, NJ " A global leader in business and technology services.

Job Title: QC Analytical Chemist

Location: Branchburg, NJ

Pay rate: $50-55/hr. on W2

Duration: 12+ Months (Extension possible)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Interviews: 1st Round – Virtual | 2nd Round – Onsite

Job Summary

The Client is seeking a QC Chemist to support process control and analytical laboratory operations for high-purity chemical manufacturing in the semiconductor industry. This role focuses on laboratory testing, analytical method development, equipment qualification, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Testing & Process Support

  • Perform routine and non-routine analysis using GC, HPLC, Karl Fischer, titration, viscosity, density, UV-Vis, and color measurement.
  • Interpret analytical data to support process control and ensure product quality.
  • Troubleshoot analytical issues and support root cause investigations.

Equipment Qualification & Implementation

  • Support qualification, calibration, and verification of analytical instruments.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Method Development & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop, optimize, and qualify analytical methods.
  • Perform Gage R&R / MSA studies to ensure data reliability.
  • Drive process improvements and reduce variability in lab operations.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate lab records, logs, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, and quality systems.
  • Support SOP creation, updates, and training.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of QC / analytical / process lab experience.
  • Hands-on experience with GC, HPLC, Karl Fischer, titration, viscosity, density, UV-Vis.
  • Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry and data interpretation.
  • Experience with method development / validation.
  • Familiarity with Gage R&R / MSA concepts.
  • Knowledge of ISO / GMP environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • MSc / PhD in Analytical Chemistry.
  • Experience in semiconductor or high-purity chemical manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality tools.
  • Experience with EMPOWER, CHEMSTATION, Minitab, SAP.
  • Experience with Agilent 8890 GC.
