Physical Security Officer

Job Summary The Physical Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of people, property, and assets by monitoring premises, enforcing security policies, and responding to incidents. The role involves access control, surveillance, patrols, and coordination during emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to buildings, facilities, and restricted areas.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols to detect and deter security threats.
• Operate and monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and other security equipment.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergency situations.
• Enforce company security policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Report suspicious activities, safety hazards, and security breaches.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and daily activity records.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and internal teams when required.
• Assist in crowd control and evacuation procedures during emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (additional security certification preferred).
• Proven experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of physical security systems, access control, and surveillance.
• Ability to remain alert, calm, and professional under pressure.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond to incidents.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid security license/certification as per local regulations (if applicable).
