Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Indirect Procurement Shared Services (IPSS) Department is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Senior Sourcing Specialist for the Enterprise Strategic Programs (ESP) team.
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the creation and execution of procurement strategies for long-term transformation programs at Toyota. These programs are often high dollar, cross-functional and include combinations of multiple categories/commodities such as consulting, electrification & battery services, and IT systems & technology.
Reporting to the ESP Strategic Sourcing Manager, the person in this role will support the Indirect Procurement department's objective to implement procurement strategies to reduce costs and mitigate risk for the business.
What you’ll be doing
Developing and implementing multi-year sourcing strategies for responsible spend categories, using data analysis and internal collaboration.
Developing strategies that consider One Toyota objectives (including global initiatives), especially for shared suppliers and/or shared services/commodities.
Designing, planning, managing, and leading key Requests for Proposals, information, quote, etc., with cross-functional teams.
Supporting Toyota Legal and Contracts teams with the development and execution of contractual documents including Non-Disclosure Agreements, Statement of Work, Master Services Agreements, SaaS Agreements, Software License Agreements, Services Agreements, and other contracts as necessary to support Procurement and business needs.
Build and maintain close relationships with business unit leaders and supplier partners to deliver comprehensive and cross-enterprise process improvement solutions.
Negotiate pricing and achieve cost savings while mitigating financial and legal risks for the enterprise.
Consult stakeholders with best-in-class processes, design, and execution strategies
Effectively manage all sourcing and price negotiation activities and in-coming ad hoc business unit requests resulting in a contract or purchase order.
Responsible for developing negotiation strategies based on analysis and execution of those strategies via supplier negotiations.
Process business requests to issue purchase orders to suppliers.
Support Technology Procurement and Sourcing activities for TMNA and its subsidiaries.
Support the Procurement and Sourcing activities for complex and high-profile executive requests (e.g. “white glove” procurement).
What you bring
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or similar field or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience with indirect procurement sourcing.
Demonstrated experience in procurement principles and practices.
Demonstrated ability to create and implement procurement strategies.
Experience with Procure to Pay tools, including but not limited to Ariba.
Experience with procurement of software and related technology services.
Contract drafting and negotiation experience with suppliers.
Proficient in MS Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP, IF statements, pivot tables and related tools.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks of varying complexities and successfully set priorities for meeting time-bound deliverables.
Exceptional analytic, organization, presentation, and interpersonal skills with applied solid judgment and strategic thinking.
Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, including experience presenting to VPs and business units.
Added bonus if you have
Master’s or advance graduate degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
Automotive industry experience.
