A leader in autonomous driving since 2007, Torc has spent over a decade commercializing our solutions with experienced partners. Now a part of the Daimler family, we are focused solely on developing software for automated trucks to transform how the world moves freight.
Join us and catapult your career with the company that helped pioneer autonomous technology, and the first AV software company with the vision to partner directly with a truck manufacturer.

Meet the Team:
The Mission Control team is responsible for creating web based applications to support our autonomous trucks. In this role, you will partner with our collaborative team to help build and support our cloud based applications that make up Mission Control. We are looking for a Software Engineer who is eager to learn and grow while contributing towards new features and maintenance of our applications to drive the future of freight. From requirements and software design to coding, testing, and deployment automation—you’ll own the full development lifecycle of a software component in a collaborative, Agile environment. Your impact will extend beyond code, helping to refine scalable frameworks and uphold best practices across the team.
  • Developing web based applications using TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Python.
  • Use cloud based services and features to bring our applications from local development to production intent environments.
  • Execute the full software development lifecycle including requirements, design, coding, unit testing, integration, and automation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally in an Agile development environment.
Some technologies we use include:
  • Managed services within AWS
  • Terraform
  • Python
  • React
  • Datadog
What You'll Need to Succeed:
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field with 5+ years experience.
  • Experience with modern web development languages such as TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Commitment to test-driven development patterns, continuous integration and delivery, and infrastructure as code
  • Strong foundation in software engineering principles and object-oriented programming.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good spatial reasoning.
