Meet the Team 

We are looking for detail-oriented Data Annotators to join our team. In this role, you will help support Torc’s data annotation and quality assurance pipeline by labeling information from different sensors, including images and LiDAR, to help train AI systems used in autonomous trucks. 

What You’ll Do 

As a Data Annotator, you’ll work with both 2D images and 3D sensor data to help AI systems recognize and understand their surroundings. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Labeling objects using specialized tools to create:  
  • 2D bounding boxes 
  • 3D cuboids 
  • Other shape types to represent vehicles, road features, obstacles, and more 
  • Reviewing pre-labeled data to ensure it follows detailed guidelines 
  • Accepting, rejecting, or correcting annotations using our software 
  • Providing clear notes when corrections are needed 
  • Learning and mastering our internal tools over time 

Your work directly supports the development of safer autonomous vehicle technology by ensuring the AI models used on those vehicles are trained with high-quality, accurate data.

What You’ll Need to Succeed 

  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to stay focused and work efficiently during repetitive tasks 
  • Comfortable supporting multiple projects and switching priorities when needed 
  • Selfmotivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Clear and effective communication skills 

Knowledge of English is required since the selected candidate will need to collaborate daily with English-speaking colleagues in the United States and work with technical documentation written exclusively in English.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Torc's total compensation package will also include our corporate bonus and stock option plan. Dependent on the position offered, sign-on payments, relocation, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
