Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills and grow within the food industry.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with sanitation standards
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed during service and handling of food items
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries professionally, providing excellent customer service and guest satisfaction
Skills
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations in the food industry
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Excellent time management skills to serve guests promptly and accurately
- Basic math skills for cashiering, billing, and managing transactions
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the industry
