Telecom Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Telecom Project Manager to lead large-scale, complex telecom programs including network rollouts, transformations, and infrastructure modernization. This role involves strategic planning, end-to-end program governance, stakeholder management at executive levels, and driving delivery excellence across multiple projects and regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of large telecom programs (4G/5G rollout, fiber expansion, network transformation)
• Define program strategy, roadmap, and execution plans aligned with business objectives
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment across scope, schedule, and budget
• Drive governance frameworks, reporting structures, and performance tracking
• Engage with senior stakeholders, clients, and leadership teams for strategic decision-making
• Oversee vendor management, contract negotiations, and partner performance
• Ensure regulatory compliance, quality standards, and risk management across projects
• Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, finance, and field teams
• Drive continuous improvement, process optimization, and cost efficiency initiatives
• Handle escalations, risk mitigation, and crisis management effectively
• Ensure successful commissioning, integration, and handover of telecom systems
• Mentor and guide project managers and delivery teams

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 15+ years of experience in telecom project/program management
• Proven track record of managing large-scale telecom deployments and transformations
• Deep understanding of telecom technologies (5G, LTE, fiber optics, IP networking, OSS/BSS)
• Strong expertise in program governance, budgeting, and resource planning
• Experience managing multi-vendor and multi-location projects
• Proficiency in project/program management tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of telecom regulations, compliance, and industry standards

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certifications
• Experience working with major telecom operators such as Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio, or global telecom vendors
• Exposure to international telecom projects and cross-border deployments
• Experience in digital transformation, cloud integration, or network virtualization (NFV/SDN)
• MBA or advanced degree in management (optional but valuable)
