Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Pre-Sales Engineer to drive technical solutioning and support sales initiatives in the telecom domain. This role involves engaging with customers to understand requirements, designing tailored telecom solutions, supporting RFP/RFI responses, and enabling business growth through strong technical expertise and client engagement. The ideal candidate will bridge business needs with innovative, scalable telecom solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-sales engagements for telecom solutions including 4G/5G, fiber, OSS/BSS, and network transformation
  • Engage with customers to understand business requirements, technical challenges, and solution expectations
  • Design end-to-end telecom solutions aligned with client needs and industry best practices
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals, solution architectures, and presentations
  • Support RFP/RFI/RFQ responses with detailed technical and commercial inputs
  • Collaborate with sales, delivery, and product teams to align solutions with capabilities
  • Conduct product demos, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and technical workshops
  • Define solution costing, BOM, and high-level project estimations
  • Provide technical guidance during contract negotiations and deal closures
  • Stay updated with telecom trends (5G, cloud, NFV/SDN, automation) and competitive landscape
  • Build strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Engineering, or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in telecom engineering, with significant experience in pre-sales or solutioning roles
  • Strong expertise in telecom domains: RAN, Core (EPC/5GC), Transport, OSS/BSS
  • Experience in designing end-to-end telecom solutions and architectures
  • Strong understanding of 4G/5G technologies and network evolution
  • Knowledge of cloud, virtualization (NFV/SDN), and digital transformation
  • Experience in handling RFPs, proposals, and customer presentations
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align technical solutions with customer needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with telecom operators such as Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio, or vendors like Ericsson, Nokia
  • Certifications in telecom, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), or architecture frameworks (TOGAF)
  • Experience in multi-country telecom projects or global solutioning
  • MBA or business-related qualification (optional)
