Job Description
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain secure, scalable, and high performance APIs using Node.js
- Build backend services to support core business operations and application features
- Design and manage database structures using MongoDB and MySQL
- Write optimized queries and improve database performance
- Integrate third party APIs and external services when required
- Collaborate with frontend and mobile developers to ensure smooth system integration
- Write clean, maintainable, and reusable server side code
- Test, debug, and troubleshoot backend applications to ensure reliability and stability
- Monitor application performance and optimize systems for speed and scalability
- Provide technical support and resolve backend related issues efficiently
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and technical documentation
- Bonus: Work on socket based real time features such as chat, live updates, and notifications
Requirements
- Strong experience with JavaScript and Node.js
- Hands on experience with frameworks like Express.js or NestJS
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs and backend architecture
- Experience working with MongoDB and MySQL databases
- Knowledge of schema design, query optimization, and database relationships
- Familiarity with asynchronous programming and event driven architecture
- Experience integrating third party APIs and services
- Proficiency with Git and version control workflows
- Strong debugging and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience with WebSockets or Socket.IO
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, deployment, and server management
- Understanding of authentication systems such as JWT and OAuth
- Familiarity with Docker or containerized environments
