The Media Archive Ingest Specialist supports the ingestion, processing, quality control, and management of digital media assets within Atris and related archive systems. This position is responsible for preparing and validating media assets for ingest, executing established ingestion workflows, performing technical quality assurance, troubleshooting routine processing issues, and ensuring accurate metadata association. Working closely with archive, production, editorial, and technology teams, the Media Archive Ingest Specialist helps scale archive operations by supporting the efficient onboarding, preservation, organization, and discoverability of enterprise media assets.
Responsibilities:
This position supports the technical onboarding of digital media assets into Atris by preparing, validating, and processing content through established ingestion workflows.
This position performs technical quality control, metadata validation, and troubleshooting activities to ensure media assets meet archive standards for preservation, accessibility, and discoverability.
Working closely with archive, production, editorial, and technology teams, the role helps scale ingest operations, improve content quality, and maintain a reliable repository of enterprise media assets for long-term reuse and preservation.
Basic Qualification:
- 2+ years of experience working with digital media files, archives, content management systems, or media operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The successful candidate will possess strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to validate media assets, troubleshoot routine technical issues, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with digital media formats, metadata, file management, and digital asset management systems are required, while experience with media processing, quality control, or archive workflows is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with digital asset management systems, media processing, transcoding, quality control, or workflow automation tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with video, audio, image, and production file formats, as well as metadata standards, taxonomy, and digital preservation concepts, is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting large-scale content migration, archive operations, or digital transformation initiatives is a plus.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Media Production, Information Management, Broadcast Operations, Computer Technology, or a related field ; and/or relevant work experience
